D. Samson Industries (Pvt) Ltd established in 1962 and the market leader in manufacturing, retailing and also the leading exporters of footwear in Sri Lanka. DSI is the first Shoe Manufacturing Plant in Sri Lanka to obtain the ISO 9001:2015 certification.
DSI product range includes EVA/Rubber flip flops, Sandals, Vulcanized shoes, Leather shoes, Rubber boots, School shoes, PU sandals, Indoor slippers and Industrial shoes.
The Company currently produces more than 24 million pairs of footwear per year and has a workforce of more than 2,500 employees. DSI footwear is manufactured in 5 large well-designed and modern production facilities with state-of-the-art technology ranging from EVA, PVC/Rubber Injection and Direct Vulcanizing combined with the advanced machinery and tools such as PVC Injection Machines, Polyurethane Machines, EVA Injection Machines, PVC V-Strap Machines, PVC Sole Injection Machines & Hydraulic presses.
All DSI products are REACH complied, meanwhile factory has acquired Fairtrade, GOTS, OCS, VEGAN and FSC certifications along with BSCI and SMETA social compliance certifications.

As we work with several global footwear brands, we are accustomed to customer retail audits as well as meeting all customer compliances.
Our testing laboratory is capable of conducting a wide range of testing such as Tensile load, elongation, bonding strength, toe post attachment, Colour fastness rubbing, Out sole flexing, whole shoe flexing, Abrasion resistance, compression set, etc. to ensure that the final product reaching the market has withstood the harshest conditions and successfully meets international quality standards. Furthermore, in order to ensure consistency of our product testing, our testing lab has active membership with SATRA UK (affiliated international laboratory for 3rd party testing and verification) as we work with only the best in the industry.

DSI as a sustainable footwear manufacturer strongly believes in ethical sourcing, benefiting the local communities respecting the environment We assure the rubber used in DSI products are FSC certified.
Organic cotton canvas
As a responsible manufacturer we always make sure our raw materials are sourced from responsible suppliers who practices ethical conducts, As such organic cotton canvas is an environmentally-friendly fabrication that is both upscale and eco-responsible.
Recycling
DSI has set a huge example for the global footwear manufacturers by recycling EVA / Rubber sheet offcuts and the waste.
We have mastered the art of manufacturing Flip Flops, Rubber soles for vulcanized shoes and Boots with the recycled materials.
Usage of Renewable Energy
At DSI factory solar panels are installed to harnessing energy from the sun to produce a percentage from daily energy demand.
